Why Grass-Fed Beef?
It's about what you eat!
Our relationship with the food that nourishes our bodies is extremely intimate; what we eat fuels us and our digestion parses its nutrients throughout our body. When you think about that, you immediately get how the source of your food, and the elements that constitute it, are probably as important as anything else in your life.
Food is a very personal thing, which we often take for granted and ingest without a second thought, until it causes trouble; the same way we consider water should come out of our faucet until the drought ends the flow. It's about knowing where it all comes from, who raised that food, how careful the rancher was, and how it eventually reached your dining table.
Not only that, but grass-fed beef is generally regarded as a healthier option for the following reasons:
- 6 ounces of grass-fed beef (GFB) has about 100 fewer calories than 6 ounces of conventionally raised beef.
- GFB is lower in “bad fat” like saturated and trans fats
- GFB is higher in Omega-3 fatty acids which have been linked to decreased risk of heart attack, Alzheimer’s disease and depression
Knowing that the production, from ranch to plate, was properly handled, naturally, with no added anything, by a family that cares and knows how to do it, is what we are all about, and we invite you to enjoy the fruit of our labor of love, knowing fully that the meat products we ship to you, all come from animals that were raised in the environment, and fed the food, for which they were designed.
